Hi,

I'm an owner of new Honda Edix Wald 2.0 (A)
Would like to share any info pertaining to this car...as I believe this model is only a few on the road.

Perhaps other Edix' s owners could share info on maintenance, repairs etc etc...

Looking foward.

Hi Bahrin,
Im Hisham, am also the owner of the Edix 2.0 iVTec
Yup, Mr. Wong is right, I've spoken to Azrin last nite and he confirms there are a number of Edix owners scattered around KL.

Me myself can share with u a bit of experience in managing Honda Edix 2.0
It cost me around RM148 for normal servicing using Idemitsu lubricant 5W 30 (1 bottle of 4 litres), oil filter and labour charge
I changed all 4 tyres and upgrade the rims to Civic Type R white Rims and run on 210 45 17 tyres - Run on Falken Azenis only.cost around RM240 per piece.
(All the abovesaid changes and service is done in Klang-Kapar)

I managed to outsourced a bodykit for Honda Edix with painting - one Edix owner offered me a good price for 1 set of bodykit (he is also the Sales Manager at the Glorywheels who happens to brought in a number of Honda Edix in Malaysia)

Hmm, I upgraded the audio system by adding a booster (but still not operating at it best-lucky I rarely listen to local radio station, Im on CDs)-radiobooster will cost u around RM95.

I installed a reverse sensor-cost around RM150
and do all around tinted with Solargard - RM950

All items done in Kajang.

And I managed to discuss with a friend from Kakimotor and he confirms that Honda Edix is using the same Air Filter and suspension system like the Honda Civic ES, the different might be the spring rate because Edix is a little bit heavy at merely 1400kg.

HWL adjustable set up will cost u around - RM2200
Gab absorbers (absorber only) - RM1400
Eibach Spring - RM1000
Gab hi-Lo-Soft-Hard adjustable will poke a hole in your pocket at RM3.5kper set

However, I am very sure that if we can move around as a team, we can get better price and better understanding of the car.

Most sifus in this forum and other forum I think can help us out in terms of technical knowledge on the engines, suspension setup, exhaust system, electronics(God, this is the part I hate most) and such - since Edix 1.7 and 2.0 is using the same engines as in the Civic ES...

I am still looking around on the bodyparts like visors, front and rear bumper, sidemirrors, windscreen and and door mirrors (just in case if something happen-touch wood, we can easily find a replacement, at least OEM quality)

What I know is that, the side mirror (1 side only) will cost us a hefty RM800.... (we will find a solution on this)

Thats all I can share at this moment I guess.

I can be contacted via hishamjunaidi@mdb.gov.my or SMS me at 0126043717 - Shyam

p/s:- Im not that old, still young at heart, not that handsome, but the car is hensemm laaa kawannn...kekekekee

Have a nice day palss!!

Can anyone advice me more about this car? I'm really worry about the maintaince issue ( Spare Parts) and cost for routine servive. Appreciate if someone can provide me more informations
regarding this. Please email me at goa_peace@hotmail.com or text me at 012-7993233. Cheers.. :P

Hi everyone,
just booked a Honda Edix 2.0 today (RM 126K OTR). Specs are not bad. It's tuned by Wald, has bodykit, 16" rims and generally looks beautiful. I'm told it's brand new but manufactured in 2004. I think what they mean by "brand new" is "never been used". It's as good as new right? In spite of knowing this obvious drawback, i was impressed by the way car looks, outside, it's interior etc (u all know what i mean)
My concern is this:
1. It's a CBU. This means that Honda Malaysia won't service the car, am i right? NO freaking warranty in other words kan?
2. If so, where can i get it serviced?
3. I've been informed that engine wise not a big issue as it shares the same unit as the previous CRV model. What about electronics, other parts of the car.. aircond... Let's say i hit something and break the foglamp, how do i go about it?
IS IT WORTH THE RISK SINCE 1. its a discontinued model and 2. there is no after sales service?

Any sifu in here please RECONFIRM that this Honda Edix can fit the aftermarket Honda Civic FD1 absorber, springs or any adjustable absorber in our market?

Some members shared info with me that it CANT BE DONE, some mechanics also told me that it might look the same but IT COULDNT FIT NICELY (huhhh?? confuse)

and the best part, some workshop confidently said - "abang, u pasang sekarang lah, kita sudah pasang dulu pada 1 Edix jugaaa...jangan risau..." - and I am still researching the most correct answer to my question,

CAN WE GET ANY DIRECT REPLACEMENT OF SHOCK ABSORBERS AND SPRING OF OUR EDIX IN MALAYSIA? - IF IT CAN FIT PERFECTLY, IS THE SPRING RATE FEELS GOOD, BETTER OR WORSE?

p/s:- sharing is caring...kekekekee

Hye guys,

Will sort another facts about the absorber with people in N1 racing soon.
Almost all forums - singapore, europe that talk about edix mentioned that the absorber is different from other models.

hmm..even the CRV abs couldn't fit in. I will check about the old stream model.
If not, need to order in group.

p/s:- I even managed to ask a custom made rear glass windows (we were given the dark ones, rite?) - yang clear punya without the heater (the back window) + 4 pieces of back glass (inclusive off 2 left and 2 right rear windows) = RM1.8k - 1.9k custom made - I asked 1 worker in Glorywheels.

Morning Guys, I've been driving edix 2.0 for a week. No doubt about the performance but the only thing there is no sapce to add in DVD player. I did put the FM Booster as suggested by Alex from Glorywheel but the reception is not really good. Any idea how to solve this? :P
