Honda Motor Co. announces Honda Civic Type-R ‘One Make Race’ version |

Honda has released a special ‘one make race’ version of it’s Civic Type R sedan to be contested in the 2008 Honda Exciting Cup One Make Race Civic Series. The Civic Type R One Make Race (OMR) version is built on a made-to-order basis and is priced to encourage amateur race drivers to take part in Honda’s One Make Race series as well as other entry level events. By offering a stripped race only special Honda makes it very easy to prepare the car for competition. Honda first introduced the Civic One make Race back in 1981 and continued this program until 2001. Since 2002 the Integra has taken over as the car used for the One Make Race series and this year will be it’s last before handing back the series to the Civic. A break of 7 years has seen a marked improvement in vehicle dynamics for the Civic Type R, and with an affordable car at the drivers disposal next years series touted to be a very competitive season. |

Honda Malaysia managed to secure a double podium win this year at the Merdeka Millenium Endurance Race 12-hour race. Both car #27 and #26 won the 2nd and 3rd place overall. Honda Malaysia Racing Team is also the overall winner for Class A (production cars above 1900CC), finishing an impressive 283 laps.

Honda Car Owners Club, Malaysia (HCOC) members was invited to the Merdeka Millenium Endurance Race 2007 at Sepang International Circuit by Honda Malaysia. Members were given the chance to see the race upclose at Honda's very own paddock during the entire 12 hour race. Honda Malaysia Racing Team has announced their car and driver lineup for the Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race 2007 during the Honda Malaysia Racing Team MME Race Party on the 22nd August 2007. As usual Honda Malaysia will be competing with 2 cars; car #26 and car #27. However for this year, Honda has decided to use the original Civic Type-R as their weapon of choice to compete in Class A Class A (Production cars above 1900cc) and Class O (Open class). |

Honda Car Owners Club, Malaysia (HCOC) members was yet again invited to another Honda Malaysia's exclusive event. But this time around, it's not about Honda launching a new car, instead members and medias were given the first full preview of Honda Malaysia Racing Team's MME race car. The Honda Malaysia Racing Team MME Race Party took place on 23rd August 2007 at Eden, Chulan Square.

About 14 members from Honda Car Owners Club (HCOC) turned out for the launching of the new JDM Honda Civic Type-R at The Shooting Gallery, Shah Alam yesterday. HCOC were joined by other Honda clubs as well, namely the Team City, Jazz / Fit Friends Club (JFFC), Honda Accord Variant Owners Club (HAVOC) and the 8th Gen Civic Club (8GCC). |
